Buying a SIM Card at Staples – frequently asked questions
To be eligible for the $20 gift card from Staples, follow these steps:
- Activate your Lucky Mobile SIM card at luckymobile.ca/activate
- Make an initial payment for your first month
- Top-Up to cover the Total Monthly Charges for your second month of service
You will receive a text message with your gift card (containing the gift card code and PIN) within a few days of your next Monthly Charge Date.
If you have misplaced or deleted the text message, please contact us and a representative will help you.
You can redeem your gift card online or in person at a Staples location. While in-store, be sure to show the in-store representative the text message with your gift card details to check out.
Once you receive your gift card and start using it, there is no expiry date. We suggest taking a screenshot of the gift card code and storing it in a safe place in case the original text message is misplaced.

This offer is only available for new Lucky Mobile customers that purchase and activate a SIM Card from Staples in Canada as of April 24, 2023.
As long as you complete your second Top-Up or have enough funds to cover the total monthly charges for a second month (before your account is deactivated) you will be eligible to receive the gift card.

If you’re having issues accessing your gift card from the text message, please contact us.
If you do have access to the gift card, but are unable to use it at a Staples store, please contact Staples at 1 888-STAPLES (782-7537). Make sure you have the gift card number handy.
